Hiroshima Terrace
The Hiroshima Terrace is a visual consisting only of a diamond pattern. The reason why it uses the carp shape is that Hiroshima has long been called the city of water and that it was also called the city of carp because carp lived there. Therefore, by superimposing the image of the Japanese carp and Mitsubishi colour, Hiroshima and Mitsubishi are represented.
Hiroshima Terrace Corporate Identity by Shinji Arashigawa has been highlighted as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hiroshima Terrace Corporate Identity was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which rewards outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
