The Sound of Poetry
The Sound of Poetry is a key visual designed for a campaign with two parts: a poetry theater exploring voice and a workshop series on science fiction and the universe. The key visual takes the form of audio tracks, as seen on computer screens. Natural elements such as flames, leaves and corals are distorted into wave shapes, creating an exotic and surreal effect. The horizontal arrangement echoes the way lines of text are set in a poem. The folding poster is printed on fibrous paper, matted on one side to hold a deep black background, with the title in silver ink.
The Sound of Poetry Key Visual by Chih-hsi Chen was recognized as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Sound of Poetry Key Visual won the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade that recognizes excellent design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
