Against Suicide
Against Suicide is a social awareness poster created to address the taboo around depression and suicidal thoughts. A large vector illustration shows a chain reaction of small triggers and the phases of a suicidal process, together with possible forms of support. The poster is intended for public places such as squares and transport stops, where viewers have time to study the many details. The quiet design aims to help affected people feel understood and to lower the reluctance to seek help. Production is possible as a large poster, a flyer or a newspaper print.
Against Suicide Social Graphic by Lara Wilkin has been featured as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Against Suicide Social Graphic was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which celebrates outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
