boART
boART is a cutting board made from leftover Solid Surface material, a hard material usually used for kitchen countertops. Each board combines irregular pieces into faces and expressions, following a scheme prepared by the designer and assembled by the worker, so every board is different. The material is antibacterial, heat resistant and easy to clean. The pieces are cut with a milling machine and joined with food safe glue. Each board can be hung as a decorative panel or laid flat for serving food. The hole used for hanging also measures one portion of spaghetti.
boART Chopping Board by Andrea Cingoli has been selected as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. boART Chopping Board received the Iron A' Design Award in Limited Edition and Custom Design in 2019. The A' Limited Edition and Custom Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade which recognizes exceptional design of limited edition products, bespoke watches, custom furniture, bespoke jewelry, personalized fashion collections, modified automobiles, made to order products and more.
