Menogga Branding Design

Menogga

Menogga is a branding design based on the culture of the Zhuang minority in China. Zhuang tradition holds a legend that people are born from flowers, and the goddess Menogga is still honoured today. The brand identity expresses the female spirit, kindness and tolerance found in this legend. Traditional Zhuang fabric images were scanned and redrawn with digital design software to form a modern visual system. The identity is applied to clothing, packaging and umbrellas, using hot stamping, embroidery and flocking. The aim is to share Guangxi culture with a wider audience.

Menogga Branding Design by 1983ASIA has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Menogga Branding Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2020. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which recognizes outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
